Seacocks 2.

Occasionally a seacock will fail and be jammed open (usually due to poor maintenance, they must be dismantled and greased at least once a year) or as once happened to me, a seacock will shear off from the hull. In any of these situations, having a soft wood bung tied to each cock will save a lot of time.

It is important to ensure that the bung will actually fit the cock it is attached to, before it is needed and do not forget the engine exhaust!
