Clear the chart table.

One favourite question on courses is, 'What should be on the chart table other than the chart?'

The simple answer is 'nothing'.

Anything left on the chart table will eventually fall on the floor, possibly damaging it or anything it lands on.

It is easy to get in to the habit of leaving the almanac, plotter, dividers, pilot books etc. on the table in calm weather then suddenly conditions change and everything goes flying.

It takes only a moments discipline to put everything securely away.
